I want to mount my computer monitor on the wall with a swing arm. How do I know if it will mount to the back of the monitor?
I want to use the wall mount swing arm so i can get rid of my computer table and have more room.

There are mounts made specifically for monitors/TVs.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, stories they’d like to share? We’re thinking about buying a stud finder and going from there but would prefer not to spend the money.
In my opinion, pricing will be very similar between Amazon and eBay – eBay might be a little cheaper but the sellers on Amazon seem to be more trustworthy. You might get a simple little flush wall mount for the 22″ for even less than you mentioned above. I got one from a local retailer for $20 that would probably work. Chances are, the same mount on Amazon would be under 10 bucks. For the 40″, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more.
If you’re mounting on a wall, be sure you attach the screen to a wall stud. That’s the more solid part of the wall, which usually alternates with less sturdy wallboards. These sections are not really safe for attaching a heavy item like a plasma screen. Bear in mind that the distance between wall studs can vary from home to home, so double-check yours will fit your screen. Some plasma mounts even hang from the ceiling, which can look amazing, But you’ll need to be sure you attach it to a sturdy ceiling joist to avoid the costly and dangerous disaster of an unsecure mounting, There’s a bit more planning with a ceiling mount as you’ll need to find the best height for the screen, but it can mean the screen is visible across a wider angle, which is great if you have a large family. However, with a ceiling mount, you’ll usually need a set-up where a single cable runs to the screen, and all the connections are in a separate box.
here’s no reason you couldn’t. The things you cannot put next to a television are speakers and other devices which contain magnets. Magnets will bend the electron beam used to make a picture. If it doesn’t contain a magnet then there’s no reason you couldn’t have it next to it.
Okay, so of course i just bought the 32″ 720p Samsung LCD that was on sale at Walmart for Black Friday! This is the screwy part… I figured the TV would fit in my entertainment center but its actually too big and i just thought about buying another one and then i was like no that’s going to cost to much and i don’t really want a stand either so I’ve came to the conclusion that I’m just going to mount it to the wall! I want to hang a 19″ (13-lb) TV from a wall in my dorm room using something different than a traditional TV wall mount. The wall is actually a wooden partition separating a closet from the rest of my room. The partition is attached to a dorm wall starting about two inches below the ceiling. Is there any kind of TV wall mount or any close substitute that could be hung over the wall partition?
